Lentils with burgul and fried onions
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 270 gr. brown lentil crops
- 400 gr. coarse burgul
- 1 1/2 L. water
- 200 ml. Olive oil
- Salt
- 1 onion cut into fine strips
Prepare:
- Bring the lentils to a boil with 1 1/2 l. water with lid on it 40 min.
- Add the burgul to the lentils and allow to cook for about 15 min. On a soft fire and season with salt.
- Take another pot and heat the olive oil in it and fry the onions golden brown.
- Remove the baked onions from the oil and pour the warm oil over the lentils and burgul, put the lid on it and let rest for 5 min.
- Stir the lentils with burgul gently and serve in a plate, finish with the baked onions.
Tip: A fresh salad fits nicely.
