Ingredients for 3 people:

  • 250 gr. minced meat
  • 300 gr. small Burgul
  • half onion
  • pepper
  • salt
  • 2 tablespoon salt pepper powder
  • 150 ml. water

For the filling:

  • 250 gr. minced meat
  • 1 onion finely sliced
  • pepper
  • salt
  • 20 gr. butter

Preparing the KIBBHE:

  1. Soak the Burgul in 200 ml water for 10 min.
  2. Add the pepper and salt, paprika powder and onion.
  3. Mix everything well and add the meat.
  4. Grind everything in the mincer and gradually add 150 ml of water.
  5. Repeat only the grinding up to 3 times at the finest position.

Preparation of the filling:

  1. Heat the butter in a jar and fry the onions in it.
  2. Add the minced beef and stir fry with a fork until the meat has become in fine pieces.
  3. Add the pepper and salt and turn off the heat and let the filling become cold.
  4. Take a hand of the dough (30gr.) moisten your hands with a little water.
  5. Roll it in your hand to a nice round ball, press it with your index finger and turn it flat with your index finger. (Try to make a cavity with your finger in the dough)
  6. Take a small spoon of the filling and put them in the holded dough and press it off end of the dough close with a little water possibly the dough will get back a round shape.
  7. Bake the filled burgul in 180 ° hot oil to a beautiful brown color.
  8. Serve with a fresh salad.
