Fresh garden beans with yogurt

Ingredients for 3 to 4 persons:

  • 1 kg. fresh garden beans
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 20 gr. vegetable butter
  • 130 gr. tomato paste
  • 1 l. water
  • Pepper & Salt

Ingredient for the yogurt sauce:

  • 100 gr. yogurt
  • 1/4 clove garlic
  • Salt

Ingredients for the thaine sauce:

  • 60 gr. thaine
  • 1/4 clove garlic
  • Salt


  1. Remove the  hard fibers from the sides of the garden beans with a knife.
  2. Wash the garden beans and cut into pieces of 2 cm. long.
  3. Heat the butter in a boiling pot, press the garlic and fry briefly.
  4. Pat the beans dry and add them to the garlic, stir fry until the bean have a brown crust.
  5. Season with pepper and salt, add the tomato paste and stir until the paste is mixed well.
  6. Add 1 l. boiling water and let it 35 min. cooking on soft fire.
  7. Bring to taste with a little pepper and salt as it is needed.

Make the sauce:

  1. Whisk the yogurt or the thaine loose with the beater in a bowl.
  2. Press the 1/4 clove garlic and add them to it.
  3. Bring to taste with salt.

Serve: In a bowl and finish with the yogurt or thaine sauce.
